The vulnerability has been fixed and the site is now online again. It was due to SQL injection, a minor code lapse in 1 file put the whole site at risk (goes to show you need to be careful). All images and information is safe, nothing was lost.

stick with phpbb if you want open source. wont fail you.

there is no real way to guarantee no quality loss when enlarging a bitmapped image. like eliteelio said, only vectors can be enlarged without any quality reduction as they contain information about the image instead of pixels.

lighttpd is a lot faster if configured properly. But I can't be bothered to configure it properly so I use apache.

I know what its like to work so hard on your site spending so much money, time, effort etc always trying to improve it. SSWarez is great imo. Little to improve apart from ditch vBulittin and go for phpBB (but I know you wont). Not sure about mac-warez. Style is great but what is its focus...

As far as I know, tinypic dont have their own plugin or API, so the only way will be to iframe it. That isn't quite a neat as this solution. EDIT: Actually I noticed they do but it seems a lot clunkier. Doesnt integrate properly with the layout of you site: http://tinypic.com/developer.php
