    RAID10 HDD or RAID10 SSD?

A note regarding hardware raid. Without TRIM you will be lucky to get a 6 month lifetime out of SSDs. Although RAID10 is perfectly fine to do with software raid (its parity where the real benifits to hardware are), you should be able to get 80-90% performance out of software. It is...

    Is directory submission dead?

Presuming they ever get around to accepting submissions. Most dmoz categories take atleast a year to get processed, some times much longer (One of my sites got listed 6 years after applying, weeks after I sold it).

How do I create a Reserve Server Proxy for DDoS Protection?

For HTTP nginx is all you need. CNServers is good (its who provides our service in the US). You may need to implement our own filters to catch the attacks they miss, be sure you do the same (although your options are more limited being on a dedicated server and not a BGP session).

You can no name based virtual hosting (its actually something we support). Although only with HTTP and not HTTPS or TCP/UDP raw. But since you are only talking with nginx you are limited to HTTP/HTTPS anyway.

Record FRAUDs for Web Hosting Providers (FREE)

Its an interesting idea, will have to find out how big their database is. I find their hashing very wasteful, the chance of a collision is greatly increased with every iteration (and hence false positives).

DDoS Protection? what should i do

DDoS mitigation companies do exist (I run one). The process is relatively simple, we take your IP and give you a new one. All traffic that arrives at our IP gets inspected and if it meets the criteria forwarded to your server behind the scenes. We are the ones who buy the $100k+ hardware in this...
