I don't think so, it is plain unethical. If you aim for a backlink then don't pursue blog commenting you are most likely to just mark as a spam on a blog. Act profesionally, comment only if you'll add value to the blog, with that you will be able to increase your online reputation.

The advantage really is more on scheduling of posts, no need to frequently open your account and update. I don't see any disadvantages on it though..

I've been using hootsuite before but now I do it manually. I mean I still do scheduled post but on facebook itself and tweetdeck. I am really not into paid tools, asap.

There are no certain amount of backlinks required to rank on google. Quality over quantity if you haven't heard of it. Do your research sonth..

Of course search engines will now. If you want to avoid duplicate content then I think you should use a canonical tag.

I post regularly with images on it, I find it effective and catchy. And I make sure to put the most appropriate hashtag on it.
