dropping the idea of C++ will focus on web development so which ones to go for? other than html php mysql which i'll b learning

i am not a programmer but i will start learning by next week will go for C++ java Php sql html now if i devote all my time,how much time,how many months of learning and practise do i need before i can make something good n useful,and is it a good idea? i might as well wanna monetize from this...

which language is required for writting scripts esp the one that grab a torrent then info from imdb create screenshot etc n how much grip on language is required for that?
