The vulnerabilities have been fixed in the latest version of cPanel - 11.24.5-R37127, earlier versions of cPanel are vulnerable.

Yes, the i7 requires triple channel memory, but there isn't really much of a difference performance-wise between 6gb (triple channel) and 8gb (dual channel), because most software can not fully utilize triple channel ram yet. You will be able to use the full 8GB of ram but in dual channel mode...

I recieved a reply from the webmaster, and he claimed that he got the template from someone else, and promptly removed my template.
I would also like to apologize to the webmaster. I know how easily templates get ripped, so maybe it wasn't his fault and he didn't know.

Any firewall or script will lag your box during a big attack. My main problem is small random attacks and I've found CSF firewall and SynDeflate handles them fairly well.
Not everyone has the resources to get another box just for filtering, and the OP was asking for free scripts and software..
