Can you guys code this up in php ? ... I dont know much web programming so I'm at a loss here .. And it doesn't have to check every 10 minutes .. It can even been an hour or two .. The thing I really wanted was some automatic process, and not something which necassarily checked that often ..

Firstly, I for one don't have 300,000 links .. :P Yes, with 300,000 links I can imagine it might be a problem .. But with like 2000 ~ 3000 links (half of which I might have right now), I don't think it would be difficult to code up a checker .. Yeah I guess that's another way to do this...

I didn't mean that it montors them *all* the time ... You could set an interval of say, check every 10 minutes and so on ... Should do do-able .. Not an impossible task ..

Hi all ... I was wondering if there's any tool/software available which you can give your files' links, and then it keeps monitoring them and notifies you if any file(s) has been deleted due to any reason .. This would really be helpful as we won't have to manually check all the links ..

Isn't there any filehost which offers free forever file storage, like mediafire .. ? I've been using mediafire for years for storing my personal data .. the only problem is mediafire is an insanely slow upload speed .... :(

How can MD5 be used to identify files .. ? Suppose if I split the files according to my liking and customize the RAR compression according to my parameters, then chances of getting the exact same MD5 as what they may have on file will be virtually zero .. Or am I missing some basic point ...
