    Generally if someone ddoses it's targeted at the sites ip, Not the Name Servers ip. Multipe NS can help with load times if they're in different geographical locations.

    Even though he resides in the uk his website was hosted in the U.S. Also, "Blocking" all usa traffic would kill tons of sites revenue. Most foreign countries don't convert sales nearly as well, since those people don't have the money and/or just simply don't pay for those services.
