Hey, I have root SSH access to my remote server and FTP access to another server. I want to upload a file from my server to the other server with an SSH command.
Example Server: SERVER_IP
Sample File To Be Uploaded: /root/FILE.mkv
Example FTP Server (Destination): ftp.FTP_SERVER.com
Username...
I'm sorry if I'm not using the correct terminology here! I've been learning only what I need to to do the uploading stuff I need.
I've been using mkisofs on my CentOS 5.7 to pack some DVD Video_TS (or whatever) image files into .isos.
I'm trying to generate a command I can use to do this...
If you're ever interested I'd love to PM (or IM) about it some.
I myself can't code a lick, but I have a vBulletin license and hace hoarded a lot of content (all HD, a lot of it unique, and a lot of it in insanely large single-links--great for VIP).
I've been trying to find a way to build a...
Very nice and cool idea!
You a programming student? Just interested in developing your skills?
I really dig the idea. Could be cool if you added a grouping-up feature for TV Shows.
You appear to have coding skills and a very impressive understanding of and experience with filesharing and...
Wow, yea my experience with them thus far has been similarly unpleasant.
It's sad for them as well, I suppose because I have almost 29TBs of single-link, zero-extraction content I would have brought over to them (plus I'd be adding the 100+GB per day I upload during normal times)
I'm still on...
I've gotta say, I don't see this succeeding.
That said, if you are going to open a new host with new features it should have:
- Lifetime Option (Especially good for you at the beginning)
- Streaming Video Service/Option
- A "Description" Field (Like MegaUpload)
- No FileSize Limit
Sorry, but this simply isn't true.
I honestly don't keep up with it all too much. I remember a lot of people making a stink about HotFile awhile ago and FileSonic now. I don't know if RapidShare does this (but if they do I haven't heard about it) and MegaUpload (very old and much more alive...
Lol, I don't really download from hosts. But I don't come across many MegaShare links and I'm not holding tight with v1. As a free user I don't use the service.
I suppose the point I would make as a business major would be that Lifetime is even more important/beneficial at the beginning (from a business perspective).
It helps the business (in this case, you) because it is (essentially) because it gives you short term capital (something a new business...
8GB is nice (3GB higher than the median/mode). Would be VERY cool if you went Unlimited or 50GB.
Hosts With (No/Large) Filesize Limits: CramIt.In (100GB), MegaUpload (None), SlingFile (50GB), MegaShare, MuchShare (None)
I'm sorry, I'm saying that with all the hosts offering the option of buying a Lifetime Premium account, I can't imagine why there are new hosts emerging who don't have this as an option.
Also, while there are 5GB (or even smaller) limits for a lot of hosts, I have a similar feeling about this...
So there's no plan to add a Lifetime option? If so, that's unfortunate...
Hosts Offering Lifetime: CramIt.In, FileJungle, FileServe, FileSonic, GlumboUploads, KickLoad, MegaUpload, SlingFile, Uploaded.to, UploadStation, the list goes on...
Download speeds are (obviously) going to vary depending on where you are and (to various degrees) when you are downloading. GENERALLY, RapidShare has good speeds.
That said, they don't offer a Lifetime option, they don't reward uploaders (I'm not just talking about money, but even in the...
