    2CO Terminates Account

Interesting. You first suggested http://merchantinc.com but then changed it to Authorize.net? Do these providers service non US based companies? Considering Payza and have had previous experience with companies like Moneybookers/Skrill.

    2CO Terminates Account

We did not add either credit card or paypal to our 2CO account, so I am not worried about this. Even if they could try, I would simply call the credit card company to block it... As for continued charge backs, as I said, we've only had 6 charge backs in almost 8 years. I'm not worried about...

    2CO Terminates Account

I just read your reply on another thread: http://www.wjunction.com/135-other/177040-help-2checkout-chargeback.html#post1872682 You seem to be quite the disgruntled person! What happened to you? In any case, I'm not sure you actually read my full post. Why WILL I get more chargebacks? Our...

    Payza Support for overseas Banks?

Hello All, Just lost our 2CO account and looking for another gateway. We still use Paypal but looking for a more credit card oriented payment gateway to replace 2CO. Now considering Payza. Here's some info: We're a hosting company. We DO NOT offer 'bullet-proof' hosting. Legal/legit usage...

    2CO Terminates Account

Hello All, Not that this will severely affect our business, but I feel the poor treatment of a long term customer and inconvenience caused has warranted a publicly made, albeit (probably) largely ignored, report! I work for a company called HostHongKong. As the name suggests, a hosting company...

    IP Tunneling for server security

Neighboring IPs ping time is the same which means your server is in the same data centre... Unless of course you are simply directing traffic on that 1 port?

    IP Tunneling for server security

Hi Steambox, Looks like you're hosted in Singapore... I don't know the real IP but to get the latency down to what it is, the server must be located in close proximity to the public IP server...

What is the most expensive thing you've ever bought?

What happened to the Audi? :-)

What is the most expensive thing you've ever bought?

In order of value but without the price: 1. My house 2. My Wedding + Honeymoon (does that count as a single purchase) 3. Investments (if counted together) 4. Engagement ring 5. A Holiday (multiple) I tend not to spend much on things like TV's, computers or even cars (yet). At home I have 1...

Excellent! So you have a solution already implemented?

What do you look for in a VPS?

Hi Hussie, That's actually a really good idea.. Could load up a server with hard drives and just sell storage space. Could easily fit 6 drives in one of our standard 2u cases so we could put in like 6x3TB in raid 5 and have a total of 15TB of storage for very reasonable cost. Cheers!

What do you look for in a VPS?

I find it hard to believe they are able to offer that kind of bandwidth at these prices. Pretty much the cheapest bandwidth you can get in HK is from Hurricane Electric (which is only really any good for North America) and that stuff cost US$25+ /Mbit assuming 100Mbit+ Commit. Typical cost of...

What do you look for in a VPS?

Unfortunately not in HK. Hardware isn't expensive in HK (generally speaking), but bandwidth, IPs, and physical storage space is considerably more expensive, and this is the location in which we operate. I am trying to find a use for these older servers (C2D E6550) and budget VPS is one of the...

    IP Tunneling for server security

Ravim, Performance wise, the solution I suggested is probably going to be the best because it uses the traffic of the storage server. Only inbound traffic is 'tunneled' and outbound traffic goes direct. Tunneling inbound traffic is not an issue as it would make up a tiny proportion of the...

    Taking your Site Offshore

I'd like to see that article. It sounds amusing! :D

    Taking your Site Offshore

Very interesting. Most of Asia have laws of some kind against porn, often requiring some fuzz/mosaic of the 'goodies'. Just checked and it seems that there is no such laws in Taiwan, and indeed very little protection of copyright. Aside from high bandwidth costs, it seems to be an ideal place to...

    Taking your Site Offshore

You probably means its hard to find an offshore host that allows you to do 'illegal' things. There is a plethora of 'offshore' hosting companies that offer good and reliable services. Good/Reliable hosting companies that also allow warez/porn/hacking/DDOS/SPAM etc. are unlikely to be very...

    IP Tunneling for server security

A lot of ISP don't filter based on outgoing packets so you might get away with it actually.

    IP Tunneling for server security

It's not difficult to setup. The problem is you need an ISP that does not block IP spoofing.

    IP Tunneling for server security

Exactly! This is what I suggested. Sorry
