Need some opinions /advice for a french forum

Hey everyone,

I've got a pet project. I've got a french forum on the back of a movie review /streaming blog.

I had an idea of letting other people post their movies in it for views/downloads. Is this a good idea?
Assuming it's not a stupid idea... How should I go about advertising it to people ?

Honest advice: hosting user-uploaded movies is a legal risk. You become responsible for every copyright violation. French law is strict about this. You could face fines or shutdown.

Safer path: Let users post **reviews and links to legal sources** (Netflix, Amazon Prime, legal streaming). Build a community around discussion, not file sharing.

If you go ahead anyway, moderate everything manually. Automate nothing. And get a lawyer.

To promote, join French movie groups on social media and offer real value, not just download links.
