Clooud.tv - Private Media Sharing site / up to $60/10k & 30% off referrals

Hi everyone,

My name is Chris and I started Clooud.tv a few months ago with a few priorities in mind and now it is ready for the public. I will be your affiliate manager here.

About

This platform is created by a user for the users.

As daily users of media sharing sites ourselves, we got so annoyed by the abundance and ridiculous amount of advertisements that are visualized on many media sharing sites.

We do understand that in order to run a successful business money has to be involved, but we found most commonly used advertising techniques absolutely horrible.

Our idea is to provide a friendly, safe and innovative user experience which is not cluttered in ads. Hence, we understand the three priorities: Privacy, effectiveness, and no annoyance through advertising, such as popups and/or popunders.

Those are our priorities and this is where we separate us drastically from any competition.

Why should you use us?

  • We always aim to hit the highest quality for affiliates and users
  • mobile friendly
  • No limits on download speed
  • No annoying captchas

  • Streams are counted once every 24 hours
  • Your revenue will depend on whether adblocking was enabled by the user and how much of the media was watched or listened to for example
  • Attempting to gain revenue using misleading/unethical methods, such as spamming, will result in an immediate ban.

Payment Method: Paypal, Payza

In the near future we will implement different payment methods depending on the demand.

FAQ

How long do you host my files?

Any upload will get deleted after 60 days of inactivity
We will have a subscription for users that will allow downloads to stay active without a limit of activity. WJunction users will keep files for life.

As we work very closely with our affiliate, we would appreciate any feedback and tips and we will take them into consideration.

Best regards,

Chris

Hi everyone,

let me get right to answering your questions:

@MediaKing
we currently don't have a file limit, but we have a file size limit of 5Gb. Obviously, if someone wants to upload an unusual amount of data (like 1tb) without the intent of sharing any of it, we ask them to get in touch with us and we will try to work something out.

@huangxunwei
The view count that is displayed on the media site is different than the one you get paid on. The difference is that we pay on unique hits and the view count that is displayed to the public is based off of sessions. Meaning, you could get 1000 views by yourself, but you won't be monetized 1000 times. You will be monetized once depending on how much of the video was watched on Clooud. I hope that makes a little more sense and I am sorry about that confusion!

Thanks for giving us a try,
Chris

Hi Bonata!

We are actually in the process of adding Payza and to be honest, I don't have as much knowledge about BTC but if there is a decent demand, I will most likely look into it and get it eventually added.

Thanks a lot for the input!

Ah that is nice. :wave:

Well presenting the name of the up-loader is not a good idea. It is not safe (Can you set it to turn it off or on by the up-loader)

I like the feature of streaming while the original is there to be downloaded. :)

I am confused here. What this exactly means ?

That is a good idea to be implemented! I will work on it tomorrow so users can choose whether they want their username to be displayed or "anonymous".

We do allow legal porn, as long as it is set to private. We try to have a family friendly site and we don't aim to have nudity displayed on publicly available sites, like the front page etc.

What I mean by my last comment is that we monetize only unique views which reset at midnight server time. Every affiliate is able to track these unique views within their affiliate tab. The way we track the views that are publicly displayed is a little different. We do it by sessions. Sessions are used in programing to basically store data temporarily. The following is a definition of sessions:

When you work with an application, you open it, do some changes, and then you close it. This is much like a Session. The computer knows who you are. It knows when you start the application and when you end. But on the internet there is one problem: the web server does not know who you are or what you do, because the HTTP address doesn't maintain state.
Session variables solve this problem by storing user information to be used across multiple pages (e.g. username, favorite color, etc). By default, session variables last until the user closes the browser.
So; Session variables hold information about one single user, and are available to all pages in one application.

I hope it is a little more clear now.

@huangxinwei

I am not sure which traffic you exactly send, but 1k unique views is highly unlikely as we had a little over 1k unique views in total which is our current norm. And also, digging a little deeper, I don't see am unusual amount of traffic from any referrer. I would be more than willing to get this fixed, if this is an issue, but it seems to me that your viewers simply don't watch the video, as our backend is working correctly as long as the user has JavaScript enabled, but considering it has to be enabled to view the video, this is out of the question.

@durexpoxi

Thanks so much for the feedback. I agree, it is always good having other viable and good options. We would love to see you on board!

@Gitguud

That's awesome for you and your company! It seems like you guys are well set in your ways and that's great. We are trying to grow and expand at a healthy speed with what we are offering. It is not worth it for a startup to host 3,000tb worth of data if it does not generate any reasonable traffic - at least not at this point. I would also love to know which host you are using that allows you to host 3,000tb for free. We would love to learn from competition like that as we have not come across any like such.

Thanks, have a look right now. It's working fine. :-)

You're very welcome, MediaKing. Thanks for giving us a try!

Hi!

There is a chance that it might not set correctly as private, if you go to edit the media and then set it as private again, then it won't be seen by anyone unless you share the direct link.
We encountered some issues today that we needed to get solved first, but in fact, I am working on implementing the anonymous feature as we speak. Give it another 30 minutes and it will be live.

Thanks Bonata!

@Bonata7 could you please try the anonymous option now? It can be found when editing media. You can set it to anonymous. The difference in between setting the media item to anonymous or private is that when it is set to private, it can't be found anywhere on the site and the only way to access it is by sharing the link. When you set it to anonymous it can be found on the site, but the username etc. is not displayed.

Please let me know what you think of it.

Hi chefo,

that's indeed a great idea which I personally haven't given much thought. I will get this added as soon as possible! If you need it quickly, I will see if I can make it a priority and work it out with you.

Thanks so much,
Chris

Hello, can you tell me where is "File Manager", "Reports" and other similar pages?
And thanks for the free Unlimited Premium Account!
Upload speed is terribly slow, about 100-150 KB/s. With such speed can not upload anything. Also I do not want to show my name on the video, can you have the option to hide the uploader's name and any other infos? I want clear video player similar to Openload. Is is possible? Can you make embeded players?

@Aalesund to see your report , enable your affiliate status..see on your setting..will show up your affiliate page... and yes anonymous name stil have bug, where are you chris ?, we need some update :handshake:

Hi there,

I am sorry for the somewhat later response. It was my fiancee's birthday, so I "had to" spend a little time with her. Anyways, let me get right to answering your questions:

@Aalesund
the "File Manager" is your profile page which displays every single upload you have made. We are working on a feature that makes it a lot easier to manage your files, but as of now, you will have to go to: https://clooud.tv/user/your_username and all your files will show up for you, even the ones you have set to private and anonymous. Once you open the media item site, you can edit the files out of that menu. If you need further help, feel free to let me know!
I am not too sure as to why you're experiencing "slower" upload speeds. Our servers aren't experiencing high traffic. Which country are you trying to access the server for? Anyways, if you have files stored on Openload, Google Drive, or any other popular media host, you should try using our remote media host file host option. From servers like Openload, Youtube, etc. you'll experience download speeds up to 50mb/s, so it should be much faster than trying to do it manually. Nevertheless, it shouldn't be that slow as our servers are running at full capacity.

If you want to hide your name, you will have to edit the media and set the option to "anonymous". You can see the option displayed here: https://clooud.tv/media/screen-shot-2017-04-02-at-30609-pm-669

We are working on embedded players right now, you should expect this feature to be implemented early next week.

@we'R'inVsible
which bug are you experiencing exactly? We didn't experience any issues after extensive testing. If you let us know, we will fix it. :-)

Sorry for this little wait time to hearing from me!
In the meantime we added a few new features, we increased the affiliate rates and we implemented short URLs.

I have no idea why my speed is soo slow - http://i.imgur.com/O4SYmu8.png
In other video hosts like Openload, Raptu, etc. my speed is over 4 MB/s but in your site is only 150 KB/s..... I'm from Bulgaria, if that makes any difference.
Also remote upload doesn't works if my Openload videos are with disabled direct links.
