nice work, i found some image converting scripts that may be helpful to you, have a test. not only you can convert png, tiff, bmp, jpeg and other image formats, you are also able to convert image to byte array and document file. it works great for,me. keep up the good work.

i think it is the best way to convert image to text with c# OCR recognition. using an an image app will save a lot of time instead of manually rewrite again. here is what i am suggesting. hope it is useful to you.
