well spamming on chat box has increased so much
not only that its just annoying pplz keep posting the same url again and again

i believe WJ is in need of a new super hero a Saviour some one who can stop crime and fuck our womens the one with a dick which can satisfy every one who steps up and ask for help

the one who can kill the spammer and save the day

the one with every thing

the one who doesn't has anything to lose

the one who know what he shouldn't know

yes yes we need some one

its about time we change the future create a new history

create a mod who'll take us some where we have never been before

I thought of Tron Legacy where he created a program design for perfection..creating a perfect world.. yay!
 
eLight and scan(new admin) should be working on stuff like the mobile skin, the serious lag that's getting more common and other things that are planned rather than wasting time babysitting trolls and kids. That's what mods are for.
 
Yeah there's several things in the works that we're focusing on. But the board still does need a lot of our attention, sadly. I get a truck load of PMs. Right now though I only have 1 unread! That's the lowest figure I've had since joining. And some how I lead the moderator actions over the previous month or two, and that's sad :P That's not to say the active moderators aren't doing a good job, they are :) I just do too much lurking around here.

Mobile skin: Good progress thus far. Massive effort, and I don't think it's going to happen fast but the end result will be good. Being able to easily edit our own mobile theme gives us so much more possibilities than forcing an app like Tapatalk on our users.

The lag: Hmm, yeah. I notice it occasionally though overall it's not that bad. But I do have something in mind, perhaps a server move/upgrade. I'll need to put some time aside to research this properly though. Also look into appropriate ways of configuring the servers/manage them.

Moderators: We can always do with more active moderators, nearly every forum can. Until there's always 2-3 moderators online for every X members this will always be an issue. I am keeping an eye out and I am hoping Scan and Loget will too for when we decide upon new staff to add to WJ.

Spam / Crap in CB: Well, it is for small talk. I sometimes wish that people didn't take it so seriously, though that's not to say that rules can be broken. But sadly that's the downside of having "instant" interaction between members, fights occur and ego's clash. It's human nature, which sucks.
 
Was this seriously a serious thread? The OP didn't sound like that, but eLight sure did :P

Anyway, the CB will always get spammed, regardless of how many active staff members you have on the board. It's not that big of an issue, as eLight said. What I think, is the issue, is more of enforcing the CB rules as opposed to them being broken. We, the existing staff, need to get a little more strict on the CB when dealing with spam/link spam/fights, etc. And unless we do that, we'll have people taking us lightly, because it's just the CB. Or maybe I'm completely wrong, and dreaming :P

As for the forum, well no amount of staff members can police a forum this size 24/7. So instead of demanding new/more active moderators on here, you might as well help the existing ones by reporting every post/thread you think breaks the rules. All reports create a new thread in the staff area. And when every report is consolidated in one area, instead of us having to regularly police the forum, it's easier and quicker to deal with.
 
As far as the chatbox spam goes,i have suggested a few times now using no-parse urls in the chatbox,that would slow the amount of spamming that happens. And i think that repeat offenders in the cb,just as it is wiht infractions on the forum,should have their cb privilages permantly removed
