Through on-page and off-page SEO, it's quite obvious. Just don't get focused on one direction only - create a diverse backlink profile, create unique high quality content and link to it. Take a critical look on your website - it might be difficult to navigate through it, texts might be too stuffed with key words or you might have never thought of inserting them there, check all of that.

We can improve our ranking by doing the current trend link baiting. Link baiting is the latest trend which is very effective to build links naturally.
 
Keyword ranking depends upon how much strong back links you got from other sites. So try to get strong and high PR back links from other sites for the better ranking of your keywords. Now a days Google gives priority to fresh content and try to add more fresh content and from those content create back links using your anchor text. Link wheel also works great for keyword ranking.

I am not got your question properly. What rank - page rank or keywords rank in SERP?
If you want to increase page rank then mainly you have to collect backlinks from high PR sites.
 
First of all you check your website's OnPage SEO and then move to the back links you have created, because after Google last update you must have to follow algorithms. Because Google become little strict to stop spammers.
Here are some techniques you can use for SEO,
Onpage: Unique Content, Keyword Density, H1 Tag, Meta Keywords, Title, Description, Image Optimization, etc..
OffPage: Article Submission, Web Directory Submission, Social Book Marking, Web 2.0 Creation, Social Media Marketing, Classifieds, etc...
 
First of all you can check your keyword and keyword density then after check your website ON PAGE and WEB CONTENT. then after Do OFF PAGE activate with niche category selection and do the SEO WITH BRANDING
 
In the present Google 's updates you should do good off page and on page activities for google ranking. You should hire a content writer for writing fresh content for your website and relevant to your topic and also do quality base off page activities so it can be useful to your website.
 
Backlinks is the key. But to get backlinks your must have something in your page that people wants. It isn't necessary that your page must be filled with keywords. I've seen many ecommerce sites without keywords but having decent PR. I bet this has something to do with the frequent site visits. Perhaps google adwords have some degree of influence too.

all members,
it is not as much easy as it is being through,
if just reading and linking to sites is enough so why Google band sites ?
basicly all these working required experience and Google algorthym applying experties.
i have seen many friends and peoples on odesk and other sites they ask again for optmization their band website because lots of spamers are active online now a days.
