I personally like to keep with the trends if I don't find it too distasteful myself. I hated vb4 when it first came out but it grew on me and better styles came out. I remember when there were only like 3 styles for it and only one worked which was a christmas one. I like vb4, it has a nice menu at the top right which I prefer to the current but meh, I'm really not too bothered.

vB4 has improved marvelously... I Agree its code is bit bad but its got awesome features like CKeditor, Search Queries have decresed (Latest 4.1.8) What else do u expect? Its Very Versatile ATM.

You Cant compare 3.8 & 4 in such a manner mate... They both have their own downfalls & advantages. I Prefer vB4 as its improving alot... Check out vb4.1.8, It will really give u a good answer :) Bugs Have Decreased & As I Said above.... search queries decreased too. ;) Lots of sexi new features & much more.

Changes Are Brilliant When They are good & positive.... I Recommend vB4 as I am using it & can guarantee that big sites can use it very easily too. If everyone was content with vb3 why did vBulletin ever bring out the vB4 version? Anyways, Just Try out vB4 on a trial basis... You People Will See my point! :)
 
I hate vb4 with a passion, big no from me. It looks like they took a step back to 1999 with some of the skins they have. IPB or no change at all pls.
 
WJ doesn't need any vB upgrade or rollover to IPB. I'm tired of seeing these threads, they are useless and they never get attention from any management staff members.

but WE like Vb and we are not planning on migrating from it.

i don't think the essence of this forums is somehow depends on what OS it runs on.
 
I never said it`s good or bad, i just see no VALID reason to update besides saying "we are on vb4" , i don't think we miss any options or functions.
 
Still like this ..no need to update...coz for webmaster forum wj features and all it's ok
smooth, clean, unique, fast and until now is safe....
 
@Cap1 - The Other Day... You Were Saying about the number of queries it takes in search shit.... vB4.1.8 has become very light on that part, millions of users including me complained this & on this version, they have completed the request very much. They focus on decreasing more queries on their future releases. By the time 4.2 comes out we are hopefully gonna have the most smoothest version of vB.

There is the Ckeditor unlike WYSIWYG editor, it saves content automatically which is a bonus to the list... The admin can clear the saved content (just bytes of space taken) by ACP. 4.1.8 has features like clearing System cache & some more optimizations that makes your life easy. :P

& Bonus to vB4, they have a hell lot of mods which makes your experience better... Incase you are upset as one of your mods arent available for vB4.. Contact the coder, he will teleport the mod ;) Those guys are damn friendly.

Someone was talking about styles, if wJ could get a customized skin... it would look way better than the current. Regarding the current skin, it can be easily transferred to be compatible with vB4 I Reckon.

Aaah comeon, this is one of the best suggestions that can be made... & I Have done this as I Like wJ. I want to see good changes on it ;)

Some Here have been requesting for IPB... Its certainly not going to be a good change, IPB SEO is like a shit, they have a ton of template changes on their every upgrade... which makes the shit more shittier. The only benefit are the plugins which too are coming down as developers are leaving the software. X-D

All of the people here are asking for what is the need etc.... They have their bug tracker, google errors of vb3.8 & check their bug tracker... to compare 3.8.7 and 4.1.8.... I have a feeling that all this fuss might end. ;)

Hmmm, I personally haven't used VB much tho just a small question, which i know i might be wrong too:

Why not upgrade from Windows 98 to Windows 2000 or Windows XP to Windows 7? Hmmm, why are we being left behind? Ok may be, this version has more mods and the other is not stable yet, Cool then we dont need to change.

But change is also very good in a place. Why does YouTube keep updating, hmmm Ok wait, you would say yeah they keep adding new features and all..

Hmmm Wait, didnt they change the whole System Layout and all? Thats some major change, and change is definately good..

@suhel - Bro, vB4 code has improved a hell lot... Time is going, change ur views. vB4 FTW. vB3 will soon leak into security vulnerabilities soon. vB4 keeps getting updated so no way it can be hacked. ;) Even if it does, You get fixed as The support is ready to fix ur stuff.

I have thought a 100 times before making this suggestion, its time wJ changes the way suggestions are looked when given by members like me. :) I am a newbie still over here, but that doesnt show my talent... I Know vB alot, Basically its the platform that fits me. I Have tried every single stuff, vB3 is only good for templates regardless if you are a coder. vB4 it has all the features someone wants... the rumour still continues about vB4 is slow, not perfect etc.

Answer to All these shitty nudging questions ->

vB4 is a developing platform, you will find various improvements there. New features keep coming up on every release, someone of them have been specified on my previous reply. I am not a vB staff but a wJ well-wisher. I think your first impression towards vB4 was bad thats why u all are against it.

A few days back people hated my threads saying I use alot of colors... I have rectified my mistakes, same way u will see vB4 correcting all its errors & fulfilling the users needs.

vBulletin 4? Seriously? You have no idea what pile of shit vB4 is. Don't compare consoles or OSes with vBulletin because vB4 is nothing but a shit, in 1 word. Consoles improved and I can't say same for vBulletin.

Either stay on vB3 or go with IPB 3.2 and keep up with the time.
 
Smith - Can you give me a live site where YOU are using 4.1.8? If not, dont install and give me a new live site demo. Did YOU code vB4? How do u kno that its Code is shit? Or are you the best coder in the world?

Why Does people even suggest IPB?... Check its thread links once, its the worst ever forum platform if you care abt SEO.
