Well, the difference is explained fast.
if you use a "nofollow-Tag" into the links on your website, then searchengines like google do not acknowledge the link.
IF you just use a normal link searchengins acknowladge the link and will give you higher pagerank.
Here an example for dofollow link:
So if any website or blog, board etc doesn´t use nonfollow tag, the search engines recognizethe link and you will get higher pagerank.
If they use the "NoFollow-Tag", the search engines do not recognize the link.

1. Do Follow Links will provide your backlink resource to your website. It will be well observed and indexed by Google and you can increase your count of backlinks.
2. No Follow Links are not crawled and indexed by Google and thus they do not add to your backlink resources. It only helps you to generate traffic from the webpage where you place the link.

from which link you are getting link juice it called do-follow and from which you are not getting link juice it called no-follow.
For websites do-follow links are good, it help users to improve there rank.
