Path is not writable

This is the best RPM-based tutorial out there. THANKS!

Complete noob here, I was able to make it all work but I cant seem to get the "Path is not writable" issue out of the way.

I moded the directory to 777 and chown to apache

"drwxrwxrwx. 3 apache apache 4096 Feb 26 02:29 downloads"

in /var/www/html/torrentflux/downloads/

yet I can seem to make it work

I also tried to make a dir in plain /downloadz/ with the same results.

Any help appreciated. grrr I was so close to make it work!
