See if you can boot it into rescue mode. Then try an fsck. If that doesn't help, try 'e2fsck'. If it still doesn't help, post back here with some more info/error messages and I'll hunt around
It isn't that I don't know what I'm doing, I'm just gutted that Netrouting set the disks up so that they were both in the same volume group therefore if the file system became corrupt then the backup drive would become fucked to. Quite pissed to be honest but NetRouting never knew it was for backups .
Yup, I think I'll just ask Netrouting the remove the secondary drive. It would be so much safer to get offsite backup. (never finished the sentence - oops).
