VPS load average is too high

Well, we need to know more information.

How many sites are you running on the VPS ?
What is your VPS configuration ?
How many visitors do you get on your site (hosted on the VPS) daily ?
What script are you using on your site ?
What control panel are you running ?
What OS is the VPS running ?

one wordpress site

Minimu - 60 and Maximum - 170

with the ram u have apache is fine, otherwise i would have told u about nginx.

i thing you need to tweak your cpanel config.

also how many plugins are you using on wordpress?

The RAM is 2GB and visitors are upto 170, then there shouldn't be any problem.

You need to list us the plugins you're using. Maybe any of it might cause the problem (which I doubt it won't as your RAM is high).

Do you have any PHP Cache modules installed ? If not, then install APC (http://2bits.com/articles/installing-php-apc-gnulinux-centos-5.html)

When I scan for trojan horses from Security Center I got this message

Also, if you have installed sysstat then type iostat and paste the output here.
