Hello,

If you have 70-300 users online at the same time then you require a VPS. If you are on shared hosting, then upgrade to a VPS.

May I know your website URL?
 
changing to a VPS may not improve your website speed. badly setup VPS can even worse the scenario.
you need some professional to take a look on your hosting. you did not mentioned what hosting plan you have from what company

I would suggest you to consider Cloud VPS Hosting. You will be able to upgrade the resources of your server easily when the number of visitors increase on your website.
