Hi,

I have just purchased a small VPS with:
5GB of Space
128 MB Guaranteed Ram & 320MB Bursted Ram.

I am looking the best OS to install on this VPS, Control Panel as well as other things which may allow the site to perform it's best for a small VPS. I am using the VPS for personal storage and small personal profile site.

Please suggest.

Thanks

use webmin for panel since it barely consumes any ram.

webmin is not easy out of the box, you must learn it then it will be easier

I would definitely recommend Debian in this case, we've noticed that on our images it uses around 14mb of RAM after a clean install - which is awesome for small boxes like yours!

I would indeed, as previously recommended, go for Debian and Webmin as panel. It's a quite simple and free solution which should fulfil your needs.

:)

I recommened CentOS 32bit. I'm using it for several vps from 128Mb to 512Mb, don't need control panel as Kloxo, Webmin. If you know about terminal, you can easy setup everything. :)
