GTA IV

Hey all,




Im having trouble with GTA IV dvd...

I got it from a friend.. it has two dvd discs.. but when i insert the dvd to my dvd drive it doesnt load.. seems nothing is in my drive...

( My dvd drive is : Sony DVD RW DRU-830A )

But my drive can run all other dvd discs and GTA IV cd works in another pc..

Is there any way to solve this problem?? Please help

When you put it in ur diskdrive open up My computer is it not listed there?

@ carnage the dvd rom is there on the my computer... And because its RW i can get in and its empty.. and the dvd name also doesnt appear.. :S

@rko i know that method :P thanks for it.. but i wanted to find a way to run it on my pc XD

I had the same problem with my old Sony DRU-830A, it refused to read DVDs but CDs were working fine, so I replaced it with another drive (Sony DRU-V200A). Upgrade to the latest firmware, maybe it could help.

The lens of your dvd reader isn't working well. I had similar problems. Eventually, I had the dvd writer replaced ^_^

I had similar issues with my drive. After a few days, it dropped dead -.-

Hey guys.. I finally installed it using another dvd rom...

But i have one more problem.. well i cant save the progress it says to login to some windows live.. or create a profile..

I did create a profile but it says to type a product key that i dont have

Well after going through some post in google i came accross something like offline profile or something.. but i dont have that option in gta iv.. can someone help??

the dvd problem was: gta4 has 2 double layer dvds (dvd's of 8GB each) maybe your dvdrom didnt support DL.

and for your second problem, get a cr4ck from www.torrentz.com 8-)
