Hi, some of my videos are not playing. They display the error "the media could not be loaded, either because the server or network....."
They were working days ago so is this a temporary issue or should i reupload them?

I'm sorry but your reasoning is beyond stupid. Nothing that gets uploaded to any videohost is "exclusive content". You're uploading and making a profit off of other people's work. Does that sound familiar? It should... Nobody owes you anything. And if you think uploading files is hard work you need to go learn Python or try a real job.

No videohost has ever blocked cloning, and for good reasons. You're so blinded by greed that you're not taking into account the amount of money and resources hosts save by not having to waste resources on storing, converting and hosting a ton of copies of the same videos, as apposed to it just being a database query linking an existing file (clone). Nor are you taking into account that these cloned files bring in more views and money for the hoster. You're basically asking for more money at the host's expense. How about you be thankful that you even get the chance to make money at all on the back of other people's actual hard work instead?

How can YOU tell that my content is not exclusive? Just because you seem to copy other people's videos this does not mean it applies to everyone. I have lots of well-visited videos that I produce and others clone the stuff right after publishing. Of course, one cannot prevent people from copying and re-posting. I never said: Forbid cloning completely as I understand the problem behind it. I am also not asking for more money at the host's expense. I also understand that the host might earn more money from cloned links as they do not need additional ressources.

The only thing I was trying to talk about was why the revenue in these cases could not be splitted more towards the original uploader like other hosts do and did in the past (like 70% for original uploader, 30% for cloners which still sums up to 100%). This would not affect the host's expense as I have not asked for a higher compensation. But it might limit people's efforts to clone links excessively and also encourages the uploaders of new stuff to keep on publishing it instead of just watching people copy their work.

Obviously too hard to understand? I expected some kind of fair discussion and not personal offense by other users or ignorance by the administration regarding my simple proposal.

Two more questions:
  • When will the player hotkeys be working again?
  • The crashed and deleted videos still seem to be included in the total storage used. I think this needs to be recalculated?

A lot of users, will get their income affected and suffer if they do what you want. But guess what. They can still make money with or without your "exclusive content". So why would it be fair for us to suffer our income because of your proposal? So please stop this sir. Just saying.

Hi, 90% of my videos are cloned. I have a decent website with decent traffic. If I was only earning 30% for my cloned videos, I'd find somewhere else to clone my videos. That would mean Gounlimited will lose my traffic, so NO it's not a good idea.

Checked your account and you have online one single video that not work, happens from time to time, if it will not be recovered please re-upload, and activate the backup from the settings.

You operate an own website and 90% of the vids you offer are clones? Holy, that's a lot... From your point of view I understand your fears.
Imagine you were on the other side and you'd produce and upload stuff, pay for servers, bandwith etc., put the content on your website and see people just clone your work 24/7 with just a single click. Would you rather enjoy MY proposal then?

@gandalfo You steal copyrighted material that you put on your website.
I'm gonna go further and say : you're not even the original person who does RIP the original content and make it public.

You're just here on your 5$ RDP downloading and uploading stuff on video hosts and you have the audacity to make it seems as its the product of your "HARD WORK" ?

You need a reality check.

+ if your "work" is so rare and precious and spend so much time making it, you could watermark it (like what streaming giants do)
Until then, just enjoy the pleb life (:
