Hello Guys we will back to old rate and 5% from Thursday
but tomorrow stats will pause for changing.
The real problem was not the 5% or 15% of watched video. The problem was that because of the slow speed of the player, the users didn't watch the whole video, they closed it and switched to watch it on another host.
Nobody wants to watch only 5% or 15% of the video, right? The users want to watch the whole video when opening it!
Instead of changing back to the 5% and old rates, better work on the player speed, to people can watch every video, long or short, doesn't matter. Solving the speed problem will solve the long video counting too - users will watch the whole video and it will count for uploaders too.
Solving the speed problem will solve the upload problems too, I think - we have this upload problem for a very long time, we couldn't upload anything even when it was the "5% and old rates" time! So if the upload problem will still persist, the player will still work slowly, the users will still close the video instead of watching it - will anybody be happy with the old rates? I don't think so!
And now we will lose our visits again, for 24 hours (in fact it will be more, because the counters are already stopped now, so till Thursday there will be around 36 hours) - and USA visits will count Tier 2 again?
