Switch to a forum or stay with a Blog ?

Hello guys ,
I would be really grateful if you tell me your openion about whether to stay with a blog or to switch to a forum ...

Very low traffic , specially without katz , with katz i could reach +700 in the first week of the site , the site is 1 month old ... But now it is less than 100 UV a day ...
I am confused , maybe a forum might be better ... But we put a really hard work on this blog ... and there is only 1 dedicated uploader working on it ... Dunno what to do ...
 
Forum won't give you more traffic^ I'd advice you to stay with a blog. You just need to optimize your blog and you can submit to the major ddls (Mecho,Twilight and Nexus).
 
Forum will help you only if you have enough friends who would participate in the discussions daily. Otherwise, it won't be any different than a blog. Even though let's forget the fact that you'd have to pay for the vB or IPB license one da, while you don't have to pay a cent for WordPress or some other open-source forum script. Think about this, if you're not 100% sure, leave it like it is.
 
No need to change to forum.The blog has more possibilities to get traffic.For downloaders its easier to download from blogs cause they have previews as they pass the pages.

Also make a better logo.And start using google for traffic.do not wait from ddls only.
 
You can use both. But if you want to build a community (requires a lot of work) you should definately go with a forum. Personally I love forums due to the community part. Otherwise, if you're only going to upload you should stick to the blog as there is no point in opening a new forum for people to spam their links on.

I have started thinking a week ago about the SEO thing ...
I started with putting thr right meta keywords for each article , and the description as the Release Name .... And meta keywords for each category page ... And for the main page ...

Don't know what else might bring me to google's pages :S What do you think ?

forum depends on a LOT of PEOPLE

personal site-blog depends on content - creativity and ONLY YOU.

u can have a test but everyone who has forums (have 4-5 friends) says the above. To depend on other people always is a huge risk

This issue can not be managed since you DEPEND on other people help while on your own site-blog is easier to manage as it depends only from you (your time-availability-content-updates-customization,seo etc.).

Seams strange nobody else has asked but do you enjoy running a blog?

I don't like how everyone is concentrating on the traffic aspect. What do you like and dislike currently about your site? No point staying with a blog if it makes you miserable.

I didn't run a forum once so i can't say i enjoy more to blog, but i really enjoy having a blog and i think it would be more comfortable for me to run a blog.
