hello everyone.

I've heard a lot of websites use xfilesharing
also
1.heard xfilesharing is pretty old coding.
2. very expensive comparing to all other services.
3. support isn't so good from what i'v seen.
4. updates about ones a year
5. Custom mods, why are they so expensive and extra $$ per server?

Yetishare
1. newer coding.
2. heard if the best back end.
3. support is great from what i'v seen.
4.update twice a year. a lot of upgrades.
5.Custom mods from xfilesharing are already included.

Can some one show we where i am wrong with choosing yetishare over xfilesharing?
any other service better then both?

regards

I've worked with both, and each one of them has it own benefits.

Hello,

I must say that I made the same experience like veggera. That experience cost me around $2000 for script and servers.

We switched back to XFS because it's stable and can handle high load without any problems.

XFS is not perfectly set up at start but with a perl programmer on the side that knows his job you can use XFS for a really big project.

About yetishare again:

At start support was very good but after the install and the payment it took several days to get a reply on questions.

Sometimes it took 4 days or so. Once the script was bought support stopped and wasn't very... let's say... "helpful".

Same answers all the time that the server config was not correct and we should have a look at the server.

Even with nginx the server had big problems to handle all the traffic. And we don't talk about millions of impressions/day.

We talk about 100k imps/day. XFS can handle millions/day without any problems!

I experienced the same problems with mysql on static pages like veggera. Stupid queries shooting at the database all the time.

XFS may be an OLD coded script based on PERL but it's much more stable than yetishare!

yetishare has the better look and feel. I really like the flow theme here. But it's nothing compared to XFS.

I'm a php programmer also so I checked this script and I saw many things I didn't like.

If you will be using yetishare on a popular website your server will go down like hell when traffic comes. For personal use a good script.

Even dual xeons will not help you. You should get at least 512GB RAM to run this script otherwise your website will collapse on high traffic

What I like about yetishare is that it's well packed from the start with some standard features that needed to be paid at Sibsoft.

Sibsoft is a typical capitalism company from Russia (Sibiria=SibiriaSoft Sibsoft). They will charge you for anything. If you go with Sibsoft you must be a rich kid OR a really good programmer otherwise your script will cost you several thousand dollars at start with all mods and server tunings. Of course you can do tuning later then it will not be that much expensive.

But if you're looking for a script that could handle high load when it's needed I would always recommend XFS.

Even if all uploaders hate the XFS script I would always go again with XFS. At the end they will be happy with their earnings on PPD.

Also Sibsoft Support answers much faster than MFSCRIPTS.

For myself it was a mistake to switch from XFS to yetishare. Now I'm back at XFS and happy. Also my customers.

The PPD system of XFS is much much better and more detailed and more exact in stats than yetishare as they need 2 days to show up the earnings on uploaders page.

Questions all the time why stats are not showing up and why X downloads but only X earnings. With XFS you don't have this problem.

I hate Sibsoft because of getting all money out of a customer that is possible if he needs help or custom mods but I like yetishare because it's cheaper for a newbie and has many mods included at start.

But better go with the expensive package (XFS or XVS) at start than buying the cheaper script (yetishare) or in some cases the complete yetishare script.

You will not have fun with your website later when it fucks up on high load!

I hope I could help you to find the right script for your needs.

Yetishare are very bad for support!
I can't get any answer to my tickets.
It's taking more than 3 months for a response from Yetishare but fixing takes more than 3 months :)

Also i posted my issue on their forums and they removed my post and banned my PAID account immediately :)

So stay away from Yetishare!

I have used both scripts. I will give a comparison.

Both scripts have some features that the other script doesn't have. If you want to use a script for professional use, and make money from it, then you need to carefully analyze all the features included in it to be sure which script suits you best.

XFileSharingPro - Maybe I'll start with support. There is an opinion that their support is bad. Currently, that's not true. They have very helpful and fast support.

Pros: It has all the key features for professional use.

Cons: The default template is very outdated. If you want your website to look good, you need to spend at least several hours to edit or create a new template. Or buy their pre-made template for $150.

Yetishare - Support annoyed me at the beginning. I sent them a ticket with a simple pre-sale question, and when I got home I wanted to buy the script and start the installation. However, instead of a reply, I received a request from the supporter to confirm my email address. One that it doesn't make sense, two how am I supposed to confirm the email if I haven't received a confirmation message. I don't like when support creates more problems for me. I will give more feedback on their support later.

Pros: Nice and modern default template. You can launch your website right away. Extensive back-end. Lower price - the price of the script, and you don't have to pay extra for the NGINX mod (in XFileSharingPro you have to pay $169).

Cons: It lacks some minor features that XFileSharingPro has, such as limiting the transfer for account packages (there is only an option to limit the number of downloads per day).

Yetishare was my final choice. Mainly due to the modern default template.
