Thank you for your offer/idea. We think about it on our next meeting.One of the most annoying features of k2s is the private / public file feature you give regular uploaders. It's extremely confusing to them and i've reported it before.
I usually ask people who want to contribute files to use K2S to share with me, naturally as i use K2S as my host. What happens 99.9% of the time is that i get greeted by this message:
The private file feature is very confusing, if you set a file/folder to private people think that only users with a direct link is going to be able to download the file (Much like if you set a video to private on youtube only people with a direct link can view it).
Public gives them the idea that the file is going to be accessible by anyone who searches for it, which isn't the case, public is pretty much the same as youtube private. This is very confusing to people, as i said.. most users obviously set the files to private and then share the link with me, so i always have to explain your confusing antics.
Please stop doing this either remove the feature completely or make it very clear what it means, stop calling it public / private, call it private / self only access instead renaming public to private and private to self only access.
