i have a dedicated server with windows 2012

i'm trying to allow connections to it by 4 users

but the server refuses to allow login of 4 , only 2 !

can you help me ?

i have already tried this solution

gpedit.msc:Computer Configuration\ Administrative Templates\ Windows Components\ Remote Desktop Services\ Remote Desktop Session Host\ Connections\
Restrict Remote Desktop Services users to a single Remote Desktop Services session Disabled
Or you could edit the server's registry:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server
fSingleSessionPerUser REG_DWORD 0x00000000

but it doesn;t work

or do i need to restart the server?

as per default you only got 2 sessions.
to use more, you have to install the "Remote Desktop Services Session Host" role. Unfortunately you then need extra CAL-Licences (you have 120days "demo" after installing the role)

Hello,

Please find the below steps if they can help for you.

a) Enable Multiple RDP Sessions
b) Log into the server using Remote Desktop.
c) Open the start screen (press the Windows key) and type gpedit.msc and open it
d) Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Connections.
e) Set Restrict Remote Desktop Services user to a single Remote Desktop Services session to Disabled.
f) Double click Limit number of connections and set the RD Maximum Connections allowed to 999999.

Thanks
