Anyone have recommendations for a good paid VPN that doesn't keep logs AND has good speed with no disconnects?
Here's my experience with a some VPNs I've tried
VyprVPN(goldenfrog) - TERRIBLE. slow speed, high ping, constant disconnect, usually takes 1-3 minutes to connect. Comes with very nice VPN software though. Do not use this with automatic forum posters or PC gaming because it will disconnect every few hours and not even reconnect.
PrivateInternetAccess - Very fast speed, connects almost instantly, rarely disconnect. Feels like I am using my own internet. But it's used by way too many people and many sites recognize your IP as spammer IP and block you or make you go through verification.
IPVanish - Only get half of my Internet's actual download speed, but the connection is very stable. Takes a while to connect.
CyberGhost - Worst ever. Bloated software, slow connection. I am not sure but it doesn't seem like a "REAL" VPN. Some websites using flash/java were able to get my real IP.
Here's a tip on how to use VyprVPN for free.
1) You need a credit card that lets you make "virtual" or "one-time" use credit card numbers with a spending limit. I think Amex and bank of america visa has this feature.
2) Set up a virtual credit card number with low spending limit, $2 ~ $10
3) Sign up for VyprVPN's 3 day trial with the virtual credit card.
4) Use the VPN for free for 3 days
5) When the trial expires, make a new virtual credit card number and sign up for trial again with a new email address.
You can do this unlimited number of times. You can use same name and billing zip code. They don't ask for address.
