Neutral Reseller Hosting or Dedicated Server?

I am planning to start a web hosting company to sell shared hosting. I wanted to buy dedicated servers for this purpose but I read on the internet that for selling hosting we should prefer Reseller hosting over Dedicated Server. Why is it so? I am a beginner in this Web Hosting field. I would be grateful if you could help me come out of this confusion.

reseller hosting is better for beginning i think. it dont require big investment, some providers even provide whmcs (hosting billing system) license in plan price.
 
It is always better to buy a reseller plan to re-sell if you are a beginner. However, do not just follow what people say - if you know how to manage things, how to sell and how to make your product unique - buy a dedicated server and turn your company around, if you know what I mean.
 
Dont start unless you have a good mentor, Just read what Rox Said. Market is VERY saturated, You need to be creative in order to rank above others. Best of luck
 
Always take a start with reseller hosting because its cost effective and you doesn't need to spend alot on initial investment. Once you are earning a nice recurring income you can establish your own dedicated server as you will be able to deal with issues.
