ZPanel has got some nasty exploits.

I have reported them to the ZPanel team but they are very slow in responding.
Best is to go for ISPConfig3 or no panel at all.

Yes, i have been observing ZPanel from the start.

The support is okay, ZPanel over all if nice but have got some wild vulnerabilities.

I am due releasing a patch for it, in case the ZPanel team takes no action regarding the stuff i reported.

did you test it ?
and support forum is good ?

Use Webmin/Virtualmin, its secure than all other options.
Take your time to explore Webmin and once you get used to it, you will start liking it just like cpanel, :)

I second Vikas. Webmin/Virtualmin is a very stable and secure Control Panel. Its kind of hard to get used to (doesnt hae eye catching GUI) but considering the options it provides its a very good alternative for a free panel

Webmin/Virtualmin will probably be the best for you. It is also very secure unlike most of the others you have listed.

Kloxo would be my choice for free cpanel alternative. But since you don't like kloxo. I'd say webmin would be your best bet.

I speak French, sorry for my bad English.

ZPanel has many problems and alot of bug, I advised not.

Kloxo is too old, there are more updates.

Kloxo MR sounds great, it is based on Koloxo.

Kloxo MR currently the same interface as Kloxo, but here décembrel'interface of Kloxo MR will change

None of those panel will really provide you with the support and security that Cpanel provides, as well as backing their product and providing live updates when there are security updates. Also, do not have server side authentication for their service. I am afraid that since we have started years ago, we have always used Cpanel. We also have good ties with them with friends and colleagues working for them or having worked for them.

I'd recommend not skimping out on quality to save a few dollars.

If you're talking about providing hosting services on a commercial level, then yes, you really need to go with a commercial, paid, control panel. CPanel is good but so is DirectAdmin. Besides, most clients WANT CPanel. If a host is skimping out on the control panel to save a few bucks, it's a bad signal to the client.

On the other hand, if you have very specific needs for certain clients, or need something free because you do not intend to make money on the service, then probably Webmin is the best panel available. It's a lot more than a webhosting panel, so it's very powerful.
