Do you use hosthatch ?

If you don't someone could be using a vpn on there server and tried to get into your gmail.
If you do use host hatch are you using any scripts that use your gmail to send mail or anything ?

If none of the above then a hosthatch tech must have been bored and though he would go see whats in your email.

PS. change your password.

Do you seriously believe that we will try to login to your gmail account?

It could also be that you purchased a VPS and to defame us, did this?

In any case, sending an email to abuse@hosthatch.com with this will get you sorted. I will report the post to change the title as this is an IP owned by HostHatch, which is used by our clients. Similar to as OVH's IPs are used by their clients, not themselves. If you get an IP of OVH logging in, or sending spam, that does not mean that OVH is doing it.

We have enough things to do and our reputation says it. We don't need to hack your gmail account.

naaaaaa, im not using hosthatch [¬_¬]

Yet you were asking for help on a free service (http://www.wjunction.com/1708842-post10.htm). As you are an old client, you could have at least tried to contact me or normal support, but it looks like instead you wanted to create some drama. :)

Thread has been opened back again.

MediaStar kindly contact the abuse department of hosthatch so that they can look into the case.

HH-Abdullah he was your old customer but now he is facing an issue due to someone using your server

So Kindly Check The Problem

Thanks & Regards

Razer,

Please check the logs on this thread. The thread title was "Suspicious logins from HostHatch". The thread title was changed after I reported it. I did not ask for it to be closed but just checked as it was not fair to include HostHatch in the title, since it is not our fault if a customer using an IP address does this.

HH-Abdullah He didn't mention your company in the title or the post he just showed a Screenshot of the logging in ip.

Yes he was your old customer but now he is facing an issue due to someone using your server

So Kindly Check The Problem

I would have be happy to personally check his problem if he contacted me and did not post a thread with a title that associates HostHatch with hacking to create drama.

The official way is to send support@hosthatch.com an email and they will pass it on to abuse and it will get taken care of. He should follow the official ways since I don't think he deserves to get any personal treatment from me after he blames me or my company for hacking.

HH-Abdullah Sorry it was my mistake ,

But Yes it was a quick reaction he took by taking your name. But Sometimes people don't know what they end up posting,

But to be straight a user did try to hack his account by using one of your servers so kindly check the issue out

Thanks

That's an old story now, try solving it for us now?
We want to know who's the person behind this, if you could provide us the IP logs from the server, it'd be great.

The procedure is:

1) You send an abuse report
2) It will be forwarded to client and we expect a response / fix in 24 hours
3) If the client responds and fixes it, it is all good. If he does not, the server is suspended pending further investigation.

I can't give you names or logs since it is against our privacy policy for our clients, which means that we can be sued for it and we will simply lose since we will be going against our own words.

That's an old story? Do you expect me to help someone who just associated with me with hacking?

No problem! Thank you for being polite.

If he sends an email to support@hosthatch.com, I will make sure that the client on that IP will be investigated for it.

No need to be so hostile no one blamed you for hacking.
We understand he should not have put your site title in the name but he was just looking for advice.

He was a previous client and knew that I was a member here. He could have simply messaged me privately or contacted support email. I do believe that the company that has control over the IP address in question would be able to assist better than the community in this case. However, he instead decided to put the company name in the title and start a thread about it. You should note that the title that he chose is going to get listed at google and so on....

I am sorry if I was hostile in any of my postings.

HH-Abdullah, That issue is sorted now, your host's name is now removed from the thread title. If you really care about your company's reputation, you should have helped us out with this minor issue by now and that'd have showed up on Google, adding to your reputation.
You've actually damaged your own reputation, by talking about the same issue again and again.

Froomple, I have told you what we can do. We can only do it after he sends in an email. I have not seen him send one until now. I cannot post a client's personal information or internal IP logs, or give access of it to anyone since it is considered illegal by law.

Alright then, @OP : You are advised to follow these steps and act immediately.
We'd like to sort this one as quickly as possible.

u are owner of your company, u should show us good attitude 1st to client or members here. and why not you pm me asking more details about this problem before reply like this?

We have enough things to do and our reputation says it. We don't need to hack your gmail account.

i was your old client, last on Feb 2012 and im not related as client with your company anymore plus i cant login my account to your site. dont try to be smartass, im still remember that incident u will not refund me if im not create thread on wj :d

ok btw, i already send email to support@hosthatch.com

I am not going to waste my time replying to you anymore. You say here that you did mention the name of my company in the title, so you were lying in the PM you sent me where you said "Where is the name of your company???????", or you really forgot the thread title you created a thread with and got the emails with?

I have better things to do but it does not seem the same for you.

Hi,

Without seeing the OP / Title it's hard for me to pass judgement; however, I believe HH-Abdullah, though could use a little tidy up on professionalism on initial reply, did nothing wrong and I would have mirrored his actions.

LitZ

LitZ, you are right and I agree that I could have been better with my initial response. But when you see someone accusing your company of hacking and than people commenting things like "LOL" or "perhaps the tech got bored and did this"...it isn't very easy to see that when you are not at the mistake.

If I read the thread now, it indeed makes me feel like I was very unprofessional in my approach but that is because the title of the thread is completely different. It was "Suspicious sign in from HostHatch" - which accuses a person from hosthatch for suspicious activity. Then a hack attempt in a screenshot. Everybody and OP is now saying where did he say it is HostHatch's fault which makes it even more sad. Because he did say it is HostHatch fault in the initial title which no longer exists.
