A better way is to throw this in your hosts file

Code:
178.73.210.219 thepiratebay.se
178.73.210.219 www.thepiratebay.se
178.73.210.219 thepiratebay.org
178.73.210.219 www.thepiratebay.org

Then you can just use the piratebay.se domain so if you get linked to it you can view it like normal
Was pissing me off getting linked to tbp only to be met buy a communist virgin media screen

thepiratebay.ee is just a clone it actually does not have anything to do with TBP they even condemned it

You can read more about it here

No need to mess with your hosts file if you use BlockAid.

This is all old news btw.

i thought blockaid only worked for sized domains not ips blocks against a website they dont mention TBP anywhere

I use linux anyway and they don't support it so the hosts method works a treat for me

They recently started pushing all pirate bay requests through a proxy, so if you use BlockAid, you won't have any issues accessing TPB in the UK.

Furthermore, you should really read their Configuration page properly. It is very easy to configure a linux machine to use their DNS. In fact, it is arguably easier than on a Mac. I realise their instructions are vague for Linux users, but that is because they assume a certain amount of technical computer literacy in this respect.

To update your DNS, just replace the addresses in your resolv.conf with theirs. It could not be simpler and if you still don't understand, Google is there to help you.
