I don't see logic in your words. If your users are from good groups you would then have sales as well and the hosting would gladly pay you the downloads in good rates. The truth is nobody can download only for free, if a user is coming back to download in your site/blog he/she would buy premium...

@mateuriko , the solution is to mark all your files as "private", and they won't be visible in the "Do you want to view other files this uploader?" page. And yes - direct link with ID won't be bad.

Just to add a few words to the previews comments, based on my experience - all hostings that used to support ass kissers more than the hard workers are dead!

devil_lucifer, true that but at least you have other hostings as well, you can count on them. Im sharing uploadgig exclusive, premium only - worst situation ever. The worst mistake uploader can make is to share exclusive 1 hosting only for years, i realize that now.
