Secure Dedi servers

Hello, I've 4 dedi servers with Ddos protections.
I'm want to know if there is some good protection that i could install on my servers to protect them from random attacks.
I'm getting a lot of attacks and DDos protections just turn off the website and it slow down everything.
also the attack killing my MySQL, looks like it has to many connections when I'm under attack , I'm need some good solution.

I'm using centos 6.5 & 7 servers.
if there is something that i could install to optimize and protect my servers I'll be soooo happy

Have you installed mod_evasive Apache module on your servers?

why are you using MySQL? Why not MariaDB?

You can hide your Server IP using Cloudflare, next use software firewall like CSF. you can define their rules which will prevent flooding of requests.

Hello,

DDOS attacks are best mitigated by a hardware firewall (DC end). At the OS layer we have limitations.
