Designing/wireframing

I'm looking for a tutorial to teach me how to do a bit more than basic wireframing (e.g. not balsamiq) of a web page. I would like to be able to create shapes, add lots of text, embed images. I know my way round photoshop a little but have never used Illustrator. Searching on google produces a lot of options but many are for creating a specific page and I'd like a more general tutorial.

I'm going to give Lynda a try but would like other suggestions as well - I have CS4 so am a bit behind the times and can't afford the upgrade
