FileShoppe - With instant payouts! Not your typical file host

Hi Trekstor, Sorry for the late reply. We haven't been active on the forum for a while. 1.) FileShoppe is still running yes. Just quietly :-) 2.) Our downloads essentially work as direct file downloads served by the webserver. We have no popup applications so I am not sure what that is about...

FileShoppe - With instant payments, and now with Paypal-Pass-Through

Unfortunately yes. We have been a target by StopFileLockers who have also attacked our payment gateway, Carrot. Carrot will be adding credit card processing instead of Paypal since Paypal will not serve them any longer.

Stop probation users from posting more than 1 thread in a day

That adds work for mods. Easier to be reported of abuse instead.

Stop probation users from posting more than 1 thread in a day

I mean this in the nicest possible way, but you must be a spammer to have thought of that :-). It is a very good point though. However, restricting the number of threads they can start to say, 1 or 2, would already be a deterrent to 'spam' as the time it takes to register E-Mail addresses and...

Stop probation users from posting more than 1 thread in a day

1 thread may be a little much. Perhaps start 1 thread, participate in 5? Or perhaps have an automated 'report' tracking facility so that if a probation user is 'reported' by 2+ people, they can no longer post? If that's too difficult, then sure, limit thread contributions to like 1 or 2...

    CarrotPay with Paypal passthrough

Hi Jesse, I have not read that. Interesting that CarrotPay has been a target. I can imagine it must be because of FileShoppe, which I find curious. 1. They claim CarrotPay processed payments for OTHER FileLockers. I know of no file locker that uses CarrotPay. I know of one that is in...

    CarrotPay with Paypal passthrough

Hi Mike, Yes we are aware. It happened about 2 days ago. I have already spoken to them and they are getting Credit Card integration instead since Paypal appears to have changed their TOS recently to exclude stored credit services.

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

Just say you will wait 6 months. They won't just keep your funds. They will pay you out as soon as they get access to their funds. The only thing you have to worry about is if there are chargebacks made against carrot.

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

Thanks Long. It feels pretty good to be honest :) As for having a credit card. Who doesn't? If not credit, debit? If you don't have a credit/debit card, chances are you're not really the kind of customers on-line merchants want. The thing about credit card is that its troublesome. So much...

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

Well good news. Paypal reviewed the account and found that it did not violate ANY of their policies/terms and have reinstated access, WITH an apology. Always nice to hear an apology, but I'm still anti-paypal so to speak. LifeTalk, you may be interested to know that Carrot have been trying to...

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

Is anyone else seeing errors on paypal now? I'm trying to withdraw money from the Business account of which I am not named. But I am getting all kinds of cookie based errors. Anyone else seeing this? Update: Having now spoken to Paypal, they have indeed limited the account due to file...

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

As I said. There is no connection between the paypal account that was limited and FileShoppe. FileShoppe (we) does not own Carrot. We just use them since their service suits our needs. The paypal account limited has no connection to Carrot/FileShoppe. So though I do not doubt what you say here...

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

Hello LifeTalk, I really do not think it is related. FileShoppe is not in any way related to the limited paypal account. There is virtually no connection, particularly with regards to payment. Even if Paypal were informed by this lunatic of FileShoppe's existence, I fail to see how they would...

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

Try refunding those payments in paypal and asking your customers to pay again via alternative means?

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

Sadly not the case for me. The limit is 'permanent' and non disputable. They have not asked for any information. Just a straight limit. That suggests you do illegit stuff too ;). All of the work I am involved in is legit, including FileShoppe (it's not a normal file host. Its a platform to...

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

Agreed. In fact I have disabled direct Paypal payments on 1 site and instead directing them to use CarrotPay (since they have Paypal pass through) instead. I must say, I have always ALWAYS disliked paypal. Wish I could live a Paypal free life!

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

I have access to 4 separate paypal accounts (3 in my name), but all are business accounts. I see no way of getting around multiple Paypal accounts for business use since you cannot use a single paypal account for multiple businesses due to the IPN responding only to 1 address and the name...

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

FileShoppe does not opperate an affiliate payout system. FileShoppe uses CarrotPay's split payment system to ensure they get their share at time of sale so we never keep funds due to affiliates. So the answer is no. There is no association with our file hosting service and this paypal account...

Paypal Permanently Limited Account for no reason

Hello all, How many people here have had their Paypal accounts limited, seemingly for no reason. I recently had my Paypal account limited, supposedly for violating the AUP but I fail to see how. The business of which that Paypal account is setup for has been running for almost 10 years and...
