Do you like Tea or Coffee

Well I've never had tea and I've been drinking coffee since I was 7 years old, I still drink it - but I prefer cappuccino. Even though it's not a choice, I'm still mentioning it, Speaking of going to make some coffee!

    XenForo Mass Delete Threads

Well I own a legal version of vBulletin and XenForo. Only thing XenForo to me seems to lack is themes, maybe some mods/plugins that wouldn't mind seeing ported over. Overall I prefer both of them, but XenForo is cheaper and I don't want to upgrade to vBulletin 5. However, I may still...

    XenForo Mass Delete Threads

This should mass remove threads, I think this is a standard feature in XenForo, If not I'm sure there is a mod/plugin that can accomplish the same thing you're doing manually. Rebuilding the catch should update those threads, However it could still be located in the xf_data_registry still.

Website down - can't indentify the problem

It's not only VPS that comes with strict iptables rules, I've seen it on some occsions with dedicated servers. If you're running CSF (ConfigServer Firewall) csf -x If you're running APF /etc/apf/apf -s If you don't do this, You can lose SSH control over your server and then ask for a...

Website down but server is working fine

Common issues causing apache to fail would be "log files" are too big. Sometimes if they're 2 GB it will cause your apache to fail. Find the root patch of your apache directory and then find the logs folder. du -sh * This will show the space of all files within that directory, Anything...

    Thoughts on reviving site?

Hello, I know it's been awhile since I've been in here, but I'm probably going to revive a website that was at one point advertised on here and Web Hosting Talk and it didn't go over yell as everyone thought it was a blatant copy, but I think since it's somewhat a unique domain name - It...

    Which VPN do you use?

There is no law to have logs, I could disable it on my servers if I wanted and if I was court ordered, I'll change root hand over my server, but there will be no logs and I would be in compliance with the court order as I didn't fight it and they didn't find anything, but I don't disable logs...

    Have I been hacked?

In a previous thread, I recommend Kaspersky (1st Choice) or Nod32 (2nd Choice) - This is fine. ZoneAlarm is garbage never use it. Malwarebytes is all you really need. Spy-Bot Search and Destroy is outdated and nobody really uses it anymore and don't recommend using it to anyone...

    Have I been hacked?

Don't use the same password. Would you believe it took me 55 Minutes to do a Windows 7 Install (New HDD) including all my applications; Including: Photoshop, Messengers (Yahoo!, MSN, Skype) all updates too with a reboot. Gotta love SSD drives :) About Total: 30 Software. Multi-Install and...

    Best Antivirus for 2012

Well of course I use Malwarebytes, but that's for Spyware and Malware and of course you get your occasional viruses picking up because they're associated with spyware/malware.

    Best Antivirus for 2012

Well, I've haven't tested them lately, but Kaspersky hasn't changed in years and it's still and awesome Anti-Virus which is my first choice. Secondly, would be Nod32 which they're more less the same. Anything else other than that is just crap.

    Time Travel

Good movie...That's ideal. Well there's a few problems with that - Changing the "Past" will ultimatly change your future and even if you or anyone bought those domains doesn't mean it will be successful, doesn't mean Bill Gates would of bought it from you. In fact it could be a blank webpage...

    Which VPN do you use?

They don't logs and here's why; http://torrentfreak.com/which-vpn-providers-really-take-anonymity-seriously-111007/ I know someone already posted this, but I'm going to post an excerpt that makes plausible sense. 1. Do you keep ANY logs which would allow you or a 3rd party to match an...

    100Mbps vs. 1Gbps

Yeah, I own a 1 Gbps port for my hosting services, 100 Mbps wasn't cutting it anymore...about $100 per Month from the upgrade to last server.
