openvpn is more secure, but pptp is much more portable (ie. you don't need special client)

I know about a vpn review site where a list of best VPN providers is given. I am using their vpn services which have speed; bandwidth and total services are very good of those vpn providers which are mentioned on the review site. I think this is the best option to you. You can choose any option of vpn service from that list.

both are ok i don't think one is better then other.
I'm used both protocols provided by ibVPN http://www.ibvpn.com
